হাতে স্টিয়ারিং, কানে ফোন? জানান কলকাতা পুলিশকে

কলকাতা: গাড়ি চালাতে চালাতে ফোন মানে জেনেশুনে বিপদ ডেকে আনা, জানেন সবাই। তবু এক হাতে ফোন আর অন্য হাতে স্টিয়ারিং, এ দৃশ্য চোখে পড়ে শহরের রাস্তায়। কলকাতা ট্র্যাফিক পুলিশ যথাসাধ্য চেষ্টা চালাচ্ছে এই প্রবণতা বন্ধ করার। চলছে সচেতনতার প্রচার, আইন যাঁরা ভাঙছেন নিজের এবং আরও অনেকের প্রাণের ঝুঁকির বিনিময়ে, ব্যবস্থা নেওয়া হচ্ছে তাঁদের বিরুদ্ধে।

“সেফ ড্রাইভ সেভ লাইফ” অভিযানকে সফল করতে আপনাদের সহযোগিতাও প্রার্থনা করি। যখনই চোখে পড়বে কানে ফোন নিয়ে কোন চালককে, ছবি তোলা সম্ভব হলে সেই ছবি পাঠান কলকাতা ট্র্যাফিক পুলিশের Whatsapp নম্বর 9903588888-এ বা আমাদের “Bondhu” app-এ (সহজেই ডাউনলোড করতে পারেন Google Play Store থেকে)। সঙ্গে জানান গাড়ির নম্বর, ঘটনাস্থল আর দিনক্ষণ। প্রয়োজনীয় আইনি ব্যবস্থা নেওয়া হবে। যাঁরা পাঠাবেন ছবিসহ তথ্য, লটারিতে তাঁদের মধ্যে অনেকের জন্য থাকবে পুরস্কার। অমূল্য প্রাণ যাতে না যায়, অনুরোধ, সাহায্য করুন।

Using mobile phone while driving is illegal. It diverts the attention of the driver which may lead to fatal accidents. All are aware of this; yet some drivers continue to violate the law blatantly on the city roads. This has to stop.
